Hospitals

Continuity and reliability are the most important things when it comes to the electrical installation installation in a hospital. To ensure this, it is important to have a clear overview of the energy flows within the hospital at all times. In order to increase the reliability of the equipment in the hospital, good power quality is of great importance.

The image above gives an instant overview of the load on the transformers and its status. Also, it shows immediately where there is a problem in the installation.

The DCEM software is able to visualize and monitor the entire electrical installation and, if necessary, alarm users.

  • Real-time view of transformers and generatiors loads.
  • Disruptions are reported immediately via web, SMS, email or forwarded to the Building Management System.

DCEM TripleD

DCEM TripleD (Detailed Disruption Data collecting) is a module especially developed to monitor preference circuits during a power failure.

When a power failure occurs, the electrical system needs to boot from a undesirable situation to a normal operation. To achieve the normal situation, the power load at the generators is increased by predefined steps. At each step a part of the electrical grid within the hospital is switched on. While these power-steps are based on calculated or estimated loads for each step, a situation might occur where the load increases more than expected. This can result in breakers that trip or generator(s) that fail.

Real-time monitoring and logging of preference circuits.

During the switching of the system, monitoring of the installation is of great importance. TripleD ensures that the measuring values of energy meters are continuously saved at a 1 second interval during a power failure. This results in a detailed view of the flow of electrical power within the electrical grid of the hospital that can be used to analyse, check predictions and calculations made in the past.

Load profile and usage

In addition to the actual values, the historical values are also visible with the DCEM software. With this historical view, you can go to a certain date and view the data of that day.

Real-time and historical monitoring of the system load.

In addition to the load profile, the set limits are immediately visible in the graph. It shows immediately when the load is critical.

Alarms

If a value exceeds a limit, DCEM sends a message to the user. The person can then take action before something fails.

The alarms through DCEM can be set on urgency, user and can even be connected to a time table so that the right person gets the alarm message depending on the time of day.

Within a few seconds alarms via web, email, SMS en Building Management System.

In addition to monitoring the energy, DCEM can also monitor other systems such as temperatures, humidity and switch positions.
